ST. JOHNSBURY, Vt. — A woman who embezzled money from residents at the Pines Rehabilitation and Health Center in Lyndon, Vermont has been ordered to spend 30 days in jail and repay the money she took.The Medicaid Fraud and Residential Abuse unit of the Vermont Attorney General’s office said that Beer wrote herself checks for more than $37,000 between January 2003 and May 2006 from a trust account set up for residents of the center.
Beer will also be required to perform 30 days of community service.
