1 dead in wreck with nursing home van
Eddys Latham Ware died Saturday at Carolinas Medical Center after suffering injuries in the crash that happened around 4:15 p.m. Friday at the intersection of N.C. 216 and St. Luke’s Church Road.Ware was one of six people inside the van, which was from the Summit Place assisted living center in Kings Mountain. The van was traveling south on Hwy. 216 when the pickup truck, which was headed east on St. Luke’s Church road, failed to yield to the van, said Trooper J.J. Waters of the N.C. Highway Patrol office in Shelby.
